Navigating Insurance and Fees
We know that starting therapy is a big step—emotionally and financially. At Floating Feather Counseling, we believe that taking care of your mental health is one of the most powerful investments you can make in yourself. It’s not just about “getting through” the tough moments—it’s about building a life that feels more grounded, intentional, and yours.
We are mostly an out-of-network provider, which means we don’t bill insurance directly, but many of our clients receive reimbursement from their insurance plans for our services. If you have out-of-network benefits, you may be able to get a portion of your sessions covered. We’re happy to walk you through how that works and provide the paperwork (called a superbill) to help make the process easier.
We choose not to work directly with insurance so we can keep our focus where it belongs—on you. This gives us the freedom to personalize your care without the restrictions or limitations that insurance companies often place on things like how often you can be seen or what kind of support you “qualify” for. It means our time together stays flexible with more availability, consistent, and fully centered around what you need—not what an insurance plan dictates.
Session fees range from $175–$200, depending on the therapist and service. We also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots to make therapy more accessible—just ask us about availability.
We get it: therapy is a commitment. But it’s one that pays off in real, lasting ways—like stronger boundaries, healthier relationships, better coping skills, and a deeper sense of confidence in who you are and where you’re headed.
If you’re unsure about how to make therapy work for your budget, let’s talk. We’ll walk through the options with you, no pressure—just clarity.
You’re worth the time. You’re worth the care. You’re worth the cost. And we’re here when you’re ready.
Available Financing
We get that paying for therapy can feel like a lot, and having flexible options can make a big difference. That’s why we offer CareCredit—a healthcare financing option that lets you manage payments in a way that works better for your budget.
It’s one more way we try to make therapy more accessible, so you can focus on getting the support you need without added stress about how to make it work. If utilizing out-of-network benefits, this can help bridge the gap for the costs until you get reimbursed from your insurance.
If this sounds like a good fit for you, you can head over to the CareCredit website and apply online—it’s quick and straightforward.
